Bad Christian had Craig Gross, founder of XXX Church, on their podcast this week where he spoke about the big "S" word that is missing from church - sex.

Most Christians and the Bible teach that sex is an important and necessary way of intimacy for married couples. God condones sex for those in marriage and forbids it for those outside of it. However, despite sexual intimacy being something important in the lives of people, it is something avoided in most churches and is looked at as taboo.

In Gross' ministry which was essentially founded for saving porn stars, he also discusses healthy Christian sexual relationships, and dealing with pornography addictions. On this week's podcast he touched on a little bit of everything.

Churches and pastors struggle with speaking about porn. Gross feels pastors are afraid if they admit they have looked at porn they could be fired or not respected. He said they may feel insecure like they are hiding something, and yet so many people struggle in secret.

Gross even joked that when he goes to speak at churches pastors leave for the weekend because the "porn guy" is there. "People need to know it's a safer place, and you can relate."

Podcast co-host, Toby Morrell asked, "Why is it so taboo?" People are scared and fearful Gross replied. "We're scared. Everyone else is talking about this and doing this. We should be having the best sex [as Christians]," he said, due to it being something that is holy.

"We have to write letters to the youth group...we should be talking about this every week," Gross continued, stating that young Christian needs to hear the most about sex because they are around temptation constantly.

Another big thing he noted is that "People aren't learning about real sex, they are learning through porn," which affects all walks of life like a plague according to statistics. Everyone from teenagers and children up until older people, pastors, politicians, etc. are exposed to the world's constant bombardment of sex.

Gross also spoke about his XXX ministry that seeks to preach the gospel to porn stars. The most notable convert to Christianity through the ministry is Brittni Ruiz, who went from starring in hundreds of X-rated films to completely giving her life to Jesus.

"They think you need to preach to everyone you meet in three minutes or less," Gross said of people who criticize his long approach to working with those who need extended focus in coming to Christ. He said it could be three months or even three years before someone gives their life to Christ. "People deserve more than three minutes."
