Worship Leader Don Moen Helps Manny Pacquiao Celebrate Birthday

American singer-songwriter, pastor, and producer of Christian worship music Don Moen visited the Philippines to celebrate the 37th birthday of professional world boxer Manny Pacquiao.

According to a press release in Gospel Music Association, Pacquiao requested Moen and the band's presence in the Philippines for his birthday. From the United States, Moen and his group flew all the way to General Santos, Philippines, the home of the renowned Filipino boxer. The exclusive gathering for the boxing champion's birthday was held at the KCC Convention Center.

In a message to Pacquiao, Moen wrote on the former's Facebook timeline, "It was an honor to be with you for your birthday. GOD BLESS YOU my friend."

Pacquiao has been a fan of Moen's Christian worship music for some time and they developed their friendship during one of Moen's concert tours in the Philippines way back 2013.

Joined by his family and friends, Pacquiao, in a speech, cried while he recalled his life challenges prior to his rise a famous boxer in the world and a billionaire. In fact, he is still recognized as one of the most influential and popular boxers in the world, even if he lost to American professional boxer Floyd Mayweather in the "Fight of the Century" in Las Vegas.

Earlier on Dec. 17, Pacquiao also hosted a surprise party with children at the General Santos' City Oval Plaza, according to GMA News Online.

For the time being, fans are eager to know Pacquiao's announcement on who would be his next opponent in the boxing ring. According to reports, the choice is between two-time WBO welterweight champion Timothy Ray Bradley and WBO junior lightweight champion Terence Crawford.

Rumors on a rematch with Mayweather still do not fade; but then, Pacquiao is still enjoying his holidays travelling around the world at the moment.
