Winter Jam 2015 Tour: Producer Mark Burnett Speaks About 'A.D. The Bible Continues' on Special February Date

Winter Jam 2015

The Winter Jam Dome Spectacular 2015 is welcoming a special guest to their Atlanta concert February 7 - Producer Mark Burnett. The Hollywood titan will be speaking about his upcoming NBC production "A.D. The Bible Continues," which premieres April 5, Easter Sunday, on NBC.

In addition, the NBC production has signed on to be a national sponsor for Winter Jam, Christian music's No. 1 tour.

Burnett has been named one of the world's most influential people by TIME magazine, and has won five Emmy Awards and four People's Choice Awards. His entire body of work has garnered 98 Emmy nominations and he has written eight books, to date.

As a producer he has produced over 2,400 hours of television episodes that regularly air in over 70 countries. His current TV series include "Survivor" (2000), "The Voice" (2011), "The Apprentice," and "Shark Tank" (2009). He is married to Roma Downey, actress, author, producer and philanthropist, and is best known for her decade-long career as an actress in "Touched by an Angel." Most recently she portrayed Mary the mother of Jesus in "The Bible" television series, reaching an audience of more than 100 million viewers.

Burnett and Downey are the executive producers of "A.D. The Bible Continues," which will resume where their smash hit series "The Bible" left off and will explore the events that followed the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

"We are so excited to be hosting Mark Burnett at the Winter Jam Dome Spectacular," said Eddie Carswell, Winter Jam creator and NewSong founding member. "We are so grateful to come alongside this influential couple in promoting their latest production A.D., and we are humbled that they are willing to speak at some of our Winter Jam concerts as sponsors and Christian music fans."

The Winter Jam 2015 Tour Spectacular kicked-off its 47-city run on January 2 in Charleston, W.VA, and will continue through March. Featuring headliners Skillet, along with Jeremy Camp, Francesca Battistelli, Building 429, NewSong, for KING & COUNTRY, Family Force 5 and evangelist Tony Nolan, Winter Jam rounds out its 10 artists* for $10 at the door with a Pre-Jam Party including Blanca, About A Mile and VERIDIA. Jam Nation memberships starting at $29.99 are also available for people wanting to get early entrance to the concerts, along with other benefits.

This year, Winter Jam Dome Spectacular will once again host a free daylong JAM ZONE presented by KIA at Atlanta's World Congress Center, with more than 85 exhibitor booths, local talent, food and tons of fun. Some of the highlights will include a BMX bike stunt-show, the ever-popular Robinson's Racing Pigs, a Jam Zone Kid's Zone, food and merchandise vendors. Fans can even meet some of their favorite Winter Jam artists at the Winter Jam autograph booth. Last year's inaugural event in Atlanta attracted an estimated 7,500 people, and will expand to three cities this year with the addition of Birmingham and Lexington.

Promoted by Premier Productions and presented by Holt International, Winter Jam Tour Spectacular sponsors include Pure Flix's motion picture Do You Believe?; University of Mobile; Teen Missions International; Pepsi; TheOverflow.com; Camp Electric; PREMIER Vacations & Events; Xtreme Conferences; Texas TransEastern; and Wayne E. Bailey Produce, in addition to NBC's A.D. The Bible Continues.

Created and hosted by GRAMMY®-nominated NewSong, Winter Jam exploded from a single show in 1995 to one of the music industry's biggest tours today. For four consecutive years, Winter Jam has ranked as Pollstar's #1 tour in attendance in the world for the first quarter.
