'Winds Of Winter' Release Date News, Update: George R.R. Martin’s Book To Be Released In Q2 2016?

"Game of Thrones" fans are expected to rejoice, as George R.R. Martin's book "Winds of Winter" is rumored to be released in the second quarter of 2016.

According to Australia Network News, Martin's "Winds of Winter" is most likely to be released in the spring of this year. The speculation is based on Martin's recent appearance on Syfy channel's "Z Nation," in which the renowned author was spotted signing autograph for the book copies of "A Promise of Spring."

As per Christian Today, Martin played his zombified version when he had his cameo in the series' Halloween episode, which was entitled "The Collector." He was inside a celebrity zombie room and was being shown to a collector, who looked unfamiliar with Martin. Then, the GRRM informed the collector that the author penned "A Song of Ice and Fire."

Martin also expressed her views with regard his upcoming book. In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, the author said that having the book published prior to "Game of Thrones" season 6 had been important to him all along. He also said that she wished it had been out now, adding that he was being overly optimistic about how fast he could finished.

For Martin, he had canceled two convention appearances and was turning down a lot more interviews to clear his decks and get the book done.

Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" season 5 episode 1 has premiered on HBO. Entitled "The Red Woman," Edd, Ser Davs, and some loyalists found Jon Snow's corpse and took him inside their place. "Game of Thrones" season 5 episode 2, "Home," is set to air on May 1.
