Washington's Mudslide Mother Pulled From the Rubble Says 'God' Was With Her and Infant As She Cried Out 'Please Save Us' (VIDEO)

A woman pulled from the wreckage of last month's mudslide in Washington State speaks out for the first time, she said prayer helped her hold on through the horrific event.

22-year-old Amanda Skorjanc told CBN that she could still visualize mud and rubble coming towards her and her 5 month-old baby. Skorjanc was home with her son the Saturday morning of the deadly mudslide.

"I looked out our front door and it was like a movie," Skorjanc said. "Houses were exploding and the next thing I remember, the next thing I see is the neighbor's chimney coming into our front door."

She explained that all she could do while the disaster was happening was hold onto to her baby, wait for the earth to stop moving, and pray.

"I know that God was with us because as it was going I cried out to him and I said, 'Please save us,'" she recalled.

Skorjanc home slid 600 feet then suddenly came to a stop. She and her son were trapped but a pocket had formed around her and her broken couch and recliner cushioned her.

Although severely injured the freighted mother said she distracted herself from the pain by praying and comforting her small son. She said she encourage her baby son to Stay with her as she would pat on his chest.

Upon being rescued rescuers were able to take her son from her arms and then use a chainsaw to free her from the wreckage.

Skorjanc and her son are still healing from their physical injuries. The baby suffered a fractured skull, and she had two crushed ankles, a fractured arm, and several injuries to her face.

The mother in tears said she could never find herself to go back due to the traumatic experience.

"Oso is home," Skorjanc said. "But I'll never go back."
