'Vikings' Season 4 Spoilers: Clash Among Vikings Family Members Going To Increase?

The second leg of "Vikings" season 4 is set to return on July 7, and it will revolve around Ragnar's quest to take down his brother Rollo.

The first half of the season followed Rollo as he became a French duke, playing Judas to Ragnar. The previous episodes also saw him protect Paris from the Vikings who were there to lay siege to the city.

The second half of season 4 will see a clash among the members of the Vikings family, where Bjorn will put up a fight against his own father and Ragnar will go up against everyone who will try to seize his crown. It will also see the rise of Ivar the Boneless, who is the son of Queen Aslaug and Ragnar and is fated to conquer England.

Spoilers for the new episodes also reveal that Athelstan's son, Alfred, will take on a more prominent role in Wessex as the king discerns the role of his kingdom in the whole of England. Lagertha will also rise to power, and she will go up against Aslaug. It can be remembered that in season 1, Aslaug was the woman who stole her husband.

While some of its elements are plotted simply to create a dramatic impact to viewers, "Vikings" season 4 depicts some important events in history. For instance, the series will show Bjorn as he explores the Mediterranean with Floki and Hega. In history, Bjorn was the Viking leader who sailed farthest down south from Scandinavia.

"Vikings" season 4 returns in July on History Channel.
