VeggieTales is holding a special contest for families, church choirs, and school bands to participate in the Sing A Silly Song contest.

Contestants could get the opportunity to sing in an upcoming episode of 'VeggieTales in the House', the new Netflix original series premiering on November 26th. Winners could get a new media system featuring a large screen smart TV and a Blu-ray player.

Contest rules:

"Step 1: Download the sheet music, karaoke track and reference track for one of the three Silly Songs from our website. The songs you can sing are:

•  The Water Buffalo Song

•  The Hairbrush Song

•  His Cheeseburger

Step 2: Record a music video of your interpretation of the song and upload it to YouTube. It doesn't have to be fancy! Just something that captures your creative approach to the song!

Step 3: Come back to veggietales.com/sing-a-silly-song-contest to enter your video into the contest."

DreamWorks and Big Idea announced that the made over characters will be coming this Fall. Mike Nawrocki, VeggieTales co-founder, said they were looking to give the characters a "fresh and modern" look as they have not changed much in the last 20 years. The original characters were based off the limited technology of the early '90s.

The biggest changes for the characters are the eyes as they have added colorful irises. Textually, they look more like vegetables instead of smooth cartoons.
