As The Vampire Diaries wraps up its fourth season on CW, fans will be happy to know the character of Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) will be returning near the end of the season. According to TVLine, the youngest Gilbert vamp will return to TheVampire Diaries after being killed in February by Katherine (Nina Dobrev).

McQueen will definitely be back but in what capacity? Will he return to season 4 of The Vampire Diaries as normal Jeremy or will an immortal Silas inhabit the body of Elena's (Nina Dobrev) little brother.

TVLine also reports a third explanation for Jeremy's return. His ex-girlfriend witch Bonnie (Kat Graham) could fulfill her promise and separate the divide between reality and the afterlife and bring back a once lost Jeremy.

TVLine also hinted at a few other familiar characters returning for the second leg of The Vampire Diaries season 4.

The Vampire Diaries has been on hold to give CW time to test spin-off series The Originals. The new show features Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and is set in New Orleans. The trio heads down to the Big Easy to solve an investigation. According to TVLine, Klaus find out his former apprentice Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and witch Sophie (Daniella Pineda) is conspiring a plan to kill the ancient vampire.

The Vampire Diaries season 4, episode 19, "Pictures of You" airs Thursday, April 18^th at 8/7c on CW.
