Twitter can be a busy, buzzy, overwhelming place for the new and uninitiated. It's hard to know which accounts are a must-follow and which are a miss. Here are seven Christian musicians that are not only active on their Twitter for promotional purposes, but use Twitter to connect with audiences and share pieces of their lives, as well. If you're just getting started on Twitter, or looking to start following some of your favorite musicians, here's a place to start.

1. Laura Story, worship leader and singer-songwriter:@laurastorymusic In addition to working on her upcoming book, Laura is currently touring throughout the United States. The Georgia native shares prayer requests and tweets about her life as a worship leader, musician and mother.

He used his Twitter these past few months to thank fans for their support and keep them updated on his battle with kidney cancer

3. Dan Haseltine, lead singer, Jars of Clay: @scribblepotemus In addition to musings on songwriting and updates about the band, Dan posts about his nonprofit, bloodwater.org, Christian culture, and social justice.
