'Toy Story 4' Plot, Release Date, Cast: Tom Hanks-Led Film to Focus On Buzz and Jessie's Brewing Romance?

Along with talks saying that "Toy Story 4" would focus on Buzz and Jessie's brewing romance, it has also been revealed that Woody is set to look for Bo Peep in the film.

Woody is going to work hand in hand with Buzz as they search for Bo Peep, who was missing in "Toy Story 3." In 2015, Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter revealed at the D23 Expo that "Toy Story 4" would explore the romantic side of Woody and Bo Peep, according to IGN. As per the publication, the latter had come back in the film, adding that it was a "very, very emotional story."

For Lasseter, it was very fun doing a story about those characters.

Aside from Woody and Bo Peep's love story, Buzz Lightyear is also set to have his own romantic story with Jessie in "Toy Story 4," as per MNR Daily. According o the publication, Jessie became the apple of Buzz's eye when they first met in Lasseter's "Toy Story 2" in 1999, adding that the former had always shown her affection to the space commander.

The publication added that Jessie and Buzz were seen a couple when they danced together at the end of Lee Unkrich's "Toy Story 3" in 2010. Thus, it is assumed that "Toy Story" 4 would explore on their brewing romance.

Directed by Lasseter and Josh Cooley, "Toy Story 4" centers on Woody and Buzz as they go on a new journey to find Bo Peep, who was given away. The film stars Estelle harris, Don Rickles, Lori Alan, Blake Clark, Jodi Benson, Jeff Garlin, Laurie Metcalf, Bonnie Hunt, Joan Cusack, Tim Allen, Anne Potts, and Tom Hanks.

With Lasseter and Cooley at the helm of the film, Rashida James and Will McCormack are on board for writing the screenplay based on the original story by Lasseter, Unkrich, Andrew Stanton, and Pete Docter.

"Toy Story 4" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on June 15, 2018.
