‘Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Release Date, Spoilers: Third Season Arrives This Winter, Touka Kirishima As Lead

Shueisha's "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is coming and new details on its release date and plot have surfaced. As per reports, the show is assumed to to arrive before the year ends and it centers on Touka Kirishima.

"Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is expected to air in the winter of 2016, News Everyday has learned. However, the series might be delayed, according to Christian Times. As per the publication, it is due to two reasons. First, there is no sign that the show's production has began. The other reason is that Madhouse Productions has replaced Pierrot's Studio on the series.

According to Otakukart, Pierrot handled the first two season of the series; however, the plot was not parallel to the source material. This brings Madhouse to the equation, replacing the latter for "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3. With respect to the second reason, it is assumed that a major change is set to happen in terms of the series' production, which covers its storyline.

In terms of story plot, "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is assumed to center on Kirishima, who is lined up for a degree in the university. According to Christian Times, this is secondary to Ken Kaneki's amnesia. In the managa, the character loses his memories, which leads him to become a Ghoul Investigator. The plot reveals that he assumes the name Haise Sasaki, but over time, he starts to regain his memories.

With Madhouse set to spearhead the anime series, it is yet to be revealed whether the show follows the manga story arc or include additional twists to Kaneki's amnesia.

Overall, fans are yet to see "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 in the winter. However, Madhouse Productions is yet to confirm the details.
