‘Titanfall: Frontline' News Update: Titanfall Card Game Arriving To Android, iOS This Fall

Nexon's "Titanfall: Frontline" is coming to mobile devices.

According to Polygon, Nexon revealed in a press release that "Titanfall: Frontline" is set to be a free-to-play card game and it will be released in the fall this year on Android, iPhone, and iPad. The studio also released higher-resolution game images and these can be seen in the publication.

As per the publication, players assume the role of a commander in the game, similar to Sarah in the original "Titanfall;" the character's task was to gather a team of titans and pilots. In the game, players can also upgrade and customize their cards, as well as utilize burn cards in the battle.

While it is also a card game in the same vein as Blizzard Entertainment's "Hearthstone" and "The Elder Scrolls: Legends," "Titanfall" differs because it features player-versus-player combat that happen in real time. This is in contrary to the former's turn-based battle style.

In a statement, as cited by Forbes, Particle City co-founder Larry Pacey spoke his thoughts about the game. He said that they had worked hand-in-hand with Respawn to weave in card battle strategy and collectability with the iconic gameplay elements that made the game so unique and that would help evolve the game.

Pacey also mentioned that from dropping a Titan onto the field of play to turn the tide of battle to using a combination of Parkour and Rodeo Burn Cards to take a Titan down, the game was unapologetically intense and utterly "Titanfall."

Overall, "Titanfall: Frontline" is set to be released for both Android and iOS in the fall. Exact details are yet to be announced.
