'Titanfall 2' Release Date Rumors Roundup: EA’s Shooting Game Gets Q3 Release, Available For PS4, Xbox One and PC

In line with the upcoming "Titanfall 2" and "Mass Effect: Andromeda," EA has given a statement on the games' release date.

According to Playstation Life Style, the official announcemnet for "Titanfall 2" on PS4, Xbob One, and PC is going to happen soon with retailers' pre-orders.

In a statement, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said at the recent Morgan Stanley Media, Technology, and Telecom Conference that they had got a great year ahead, as they had got their Battlefield first-person shooter game coming in the third quarter (of the year) and their third party title that Respawn, their partner, built, Titanfall.

According to Jorgensen, the games were first-person shooters and would be targeted around the fast and action-driven shooter market, in addition to the strategy-driven market in the same quarter. He added the "Mirror's Edge" runner game in the first quarter of 2016 and the science fiction game "Mass Effect" in the fourth quarter.

For Jorgensen, 2016 is a big year and they were pretty excited.

According to GameSpot, Game Stop is now promoting "Titanfall 2," even thought is is an unannounced game. As per the publication, an official announcement from the developers may be coming soon.

On Feb. 29, Twitter user Niall Maher wrote on the social media that "Titanfall 2" had been confirmed. Maher seems to be adamant with his post, though the game title cannot be seen when it is searched through Game Stop's website.

As per Game Zone, EA's move is logical because releasing more than a single game within a close timeframe means that it would game competition against itself. According to the publication, "Titanfall 2" has a single player campaign instead of a shooter while "Mass Effect" was initially exclusive to the Xbox gaming console.
