Ex-NFL QB Tim Tebow recently talked about hosting some upcoming "prom" events that will take place at several churches across America in honor of special needs people.

The 27-year-old GMA correspondent is best known for discussing his strong faith in Jesus Christ since his college football days as a member of the Florida Gators (from 2006 to 2009) which sparked the 'Tebowmania' craze several years ago.

"We are so excited to be able to create this opportunity for thousands of people around the country with special needs," said Tebow, according to a report on Heisman.com.

"This event perfectly fits our mission to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need."

The nationwide free 'Night to Shine' prom events will take place simultaneously in various U.S churches on February 13, 2015.

The 50 churches that are expected to participate in the one night event will greet the special needs guests of honor with a red carpet entrance paparazzi, hair and makeup beauty stations.

The approximately 100 special needs people arrive at one of the churches via free limousine ride, the guests will be treated with free food, free shoe shining, free hair and makeup beauty stations plus getting their photos taken by professional photographers free of charge, to name a few of the perks.

Tim Tebow Foundation Executive Director Erik Dellenback echoes the former New York Jets and Denver Broncos quarterback regarding this once-in-a-lifetime event that takes place next month.

"Everyone should have the opportunity to experience a prom where they feel loved and welcomed and we pray this event will positively impact the lives of thousands of people across the country," said Dellenback to the Greenville Online in an interview.
