Tim Tebow News: Ex-NFL QB to Play For Orlando Predators in Arena Football League? (VIDEO)

In latest Tim Tebow news, the former NFL athlete is being courted by Orlando Predators team owner David Siegel to play for his franchise in the Arena Football League.

"If anyone knows Tim Tebow, tell him to call me," said Siegel, according to an Orlando Sentinel report, "The team number is 844-455-PRED."

The Westgate Resorts CEO made the statement during his press conference on July 15, when he was asked if he will try to attract big name athletes to his new team.

Orlando Predators head coach Rob Keefe is hoping that a player of Tebow's caliber would join his AFL team that is currently in first place in their division with a 9-7 record (with 2 games left in the season).

"I'm very proud of what we've accomplished with the team that we have," said Keefe, "But when you have an owner like this and you come back to the Amway Center, it's fair to say that our recruiting package just got a lot better."

The Predators are attempting to win the third AFL championship in franchise history this year.

Previously, ex-Orlando Predators owner Brett Bouchy also lobbied for the former Heisman trophy winner to join the Florida squad in 2013.

"Whenever Tim is willing, we have a contract waiting for him to sign," said Bouchy.

The former New York Jets and Denver Broncos athlete was cut by the New England Patriots during the 2013 NFL preseason and did not find a new squad during the regular season.

Tebow signed a multi-year contract with ESPN to work for the SEC Network, which will debut next month.
