Christian rock band Thousand Foot Krutch will hit the road starting July 15 in Lancaster, Ohio, to promote its new album, "Exhale," which was released last week on June 17.

The group, consisting of frontman Trevor McNevan, bassist joel Bruyre and drummer Steve Augustine, will be joined by Smashing Satellites, Adelitas Way and 3 Pill Morning on the tour.

According to the press release, the Thousand Foot Krutch decided against overcomplicating the production of the songs on "Exhale."

"During the making of 'Exhale,' we spent more time on certain elements to make sure we can capture that accurately since live shows are such a big part of who we are," said McNevan, likening the process to looking at houses that are nothing like the photos they see online.

One of the tracks, "Running with Giants," has been getting consistent radio airplay on Slacker Radio, Radio.com and AOL Radio. The Thousand Foot Krutch also made a music video for the song, which was the first since "War of Change" about three years back.

The other tracks that will surely get the adrenaline flowing are "Incomplete," "Born Again" and a "Different Kind of Dynamite."

"Exhale" is a worthy follow-up to the Thousand Foot Krutch's "Oxygen: Inhale."

"I had gotten the idea a few years back of having an album called 'Inhale' showcasing the lighter, quieter side of the band that's always been a part of our albums, allowing us the freedom to dig deeper into that than we have before," McNevan said.

"And then to have an album called 'Exhale' that drops the gloves and dives even deeper into the aggressive side of the band."
