The mighty fire demon from Muspelheim will allegedly be the next menace in town in the third addition to Marvel's blockbuster film franchise, 'Thor'. Rumor has it that Surtur and his fiery giants will do everything possible to see Asgard burned down to the ground, which will force Thor to try and stop them.

Fans can expect some sort of Armageddon type plot, as the lead star of the franchise, Chris Hemsworth, hinted in an interview earlier this year.

Another rumored plot is that Loki returns with a devious plan to take over the power in Asgard. To do so, he may lie to the people of Asgard and pin Odin's death on Thor. This storyline would open many doors when the comes to which characters would be the villains in the forthcoming 'Thor' film.

Additionally, some speculate that moviegoers will see a final brother vs brother fight at some point in the film.

On another note, rumor has it that Loki may be romantically interested in the Enchantress, who is the third villain that will allegedly make an appearance in the third installment of the film series. This will be the first time fans of Loki will see an entirely different side of him.

In other related news, an official release date of 'Thor 3' has not yet been revealed, but rumors say that it will launch sometime in 2016. However, what has been confirmed is some of the film's cast; Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddlestone, Natalie Portman will reprise their roles.
