Longtime Christian rock and worship band Third Day stopped by BREATHEcast to speak about their new record, Lead Us Back Songs of Worship.

This is their first worship album in around 12 years, in the past a lot of the songs were recorded live. On this album, everything was done in the studio. They also explained that they had been sitting on this record since last year and have finally decided to release it.

The interviewed switched gears into talking about the worship movement that is surging through New York City as of late.

"Being here in New York, is such an honor to be here," said drummer David Carr. "It's kind of like the center of the world...more and more it just seems like God is doing something amazing here with believers."

Third Day has been making music for 20 plus years, and have enjoyed many successes, which is something guitarist Mark Lee credits to having a "gift" from God. He said while a lot of band's are formed on just "great music, we are formed on something more solid than that. We all feel called to do this. We feel like God brought us together as friends first...we have always failed back on that," said Lee. "It's such a blessing to be able to continue doing what we are doing."

The album premiered at #20 on the Billboard Top 200, at #13 on the SoundScan Top Current Albums Chart, and #1 on Billboard's Top Christian and Gospel Albums chart this week.

Along with the album release the band performed to a sold-out audience at the Beacon Theatre in New York on March 3, and even made an appearance on the national television show "Fox & Friends" on March 7.

Their hit single "Soul On Fire" is #8 on the Christian National Audience Chart, and is currently on its national "Soul On Fire Tour" through April 26th.

The seven city Canadian run of the "Soul On Fire Tour" will kickoff April 29th in Montreal, QU. In June Third Day is bringing their "Third Day & Friends" event to Gwinnett Arena (June 6), which was sold-out a month in advance in 2014, as well as Red Rocks on June 9.

Standard and deluxe editions of LEAD US BACK: SONGS OF WORSHIP are now available with the latter version including a bonus disc of eight fan favorite live tracks from the road from a previous sold-out performance. There are also two additional previously unreleased studio tracks.
