'The Winds Of Winter' Release Date, News & Rumors: New Excerpt Presents Arianne Martell’s Role?

In line with George R.R. Martin's novel "The Winds of Winter," fans have to wait more, as the seems to be unfinished. However, the author shared his thoughts on some plot details, such as the role of Arianne Martell in the story.

Martin is yet to announce the official release date of his book "The Winds of Winter," Game N Guide has learned. While the author has not mentioned any detail on the novel's release, he did feed fans information with regard to the plot details of the story.

On May 10, Martin posted on his official website an excerpt from "The Winds of Winter" and it is entitled "Arianne." Based on the words and context, the said chapter seems to be written from Martell's point of view. She is the daughter of Doran Martell and in the "Game of Thrones" series, Doran is no longer alive and Arianne does not exist; though, they are both seen on the page.

Martin also entertained some queries from his blog fans. One question is from commenter BryndenBFish, who asked if Areo Hota would return as a POV character and if the author planned to include one or more Dornish POV characters aside from Arianne and Hotah. For the author, he replied that he did not have plans to add more Dornish POVs, but Hotah is set to push through as a POV.

Hotah was also dead in "Game of Thrones," though he is very much alive and kicking in the book. The character is assumed to be linked to Dorne and act as the readers' eyes for Doran's deeds and whereabouts.

For the time being, the release date for "The Winds of Winter" is yet to be revealed.
