'The Walking Dead: Season 3' Game Release Date: Two Characters Added; Telltale Games To Yield Better Engine

Telltale Games' "The Walking Dead: Season 3" is set to introduce new characters to fans. Also, the studio teased that its engine is set to be raised to a higher level.

Fans are set to see two playable characters in "The Walking Dead: Season 3," Bloody Disgusting has learned. As per the publication, gamers will assumed the roles of Javier and Clementine, also known as Clem.

According to Touch Arcade, Javier is totally a new character while Clem has molded the story arc of the title's previous seasons. More details on how they will impact the game plot and the overall gameplay are yet to be revealed.

Featuring Javier and Clem as starring characters in the upcoming title is Telltale Games' way to make new gamers comfortable in playing the game.

In a statement, as cited by Bloody Disgusting, the studio revealed that players who were new to the series would have the opportunity to explore Clem's origin story while those who had played the previous titles would have a story that was uniquely designed to the different paths they had walked in the past.

Aside from Javier and Clem, Telltell Games also revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that it is set to improve the game through its engine. According to Touch Arcade, players see the move as good news, since this suggests the loss of the audio-visual stutter players have experienced in the previous games.

Developed and published by Telltale Games, "The Walking Dead: Season 3" is set to be released this year; however, details on the exact release date are yet to be revealed.
