Jon Bauer's seventh studio album, "The Light in Us," will be released on June 10 on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and other digital stores.

In explaining his latest recording, Bauer said that committing your life to Jesus Christ is going to be a challenge.

"The Lord never promised it would be easy, but worth it if we trust in Him," he said. "This album shares a healing journey I have been on the last couple of years as I have leaned on the faithfulness of God even when I have not felt Him near."

Jon Bauer added, "In His time-not my own-He has brought complete healing and has used the trials of this life as a testament to His greatness. My prayer is that these songs would draw others who are walking through a valley to press in even closer to Jesus."

The Canadian has won seven GMA Canada Covenant Awards, and produced one number one single and six top 5 songs. He also toured with the likes of Francesca Battistelli, Newsboys, Sanctus Real, Steen Curtis Chapman across Canada, Europe, Asia and the US.

According to a press release for the new album, Bauer cites pop, country and modern worship as influences in the making of "The Light In Us." Among the tracks that are listed in the recording are "Your Love is Beautiful," "Say Something," and "Come Alive."

The 10-track album is produced by Dove Award-winning Ainslie Grosser (Rend Collective) and Rusty Varenkamp (Building 429). All the songs on "The Light in Us" are co-written by Bauer.
