'The Good Wife' Spinoff Cast News: Things Get Nasty As Diane Lockhart Comes Back

The first sneak peek for the upcoming CBS All Access drama "The Good Wife" spinoff teases that things will get nasty when Diane Lockhart returns to the small screen.

Lockhart, played by Emmy winner Christine Baranski, reemerges in the first teaser and poster for the "Good Wife" spinoff, titled "The Good Fight."

CBS unveiled the first footage of the new drama, showing Lockhart fighting her best both in the courtroom and in the boardroom. The clip also shows Lucca Quinn, played by Cush Jumbo, popping up in some revealing scenes, as well as Zach Grenier reprising his role as David Lee.

"The Good Fight" picks up a year after the events in the "Good Wife" finale. In the final episode of the original series, a huge financial scam ruined the reputation of a young lawyer named Maia Rindell and wiped out the savings of her godmother and mentor, Lockhart. The characters were forced out of Lockhart & Lee to join Cush in one of the most distinguished law firms in Chicago.

Along with series regulars like Delroy Lindo, Leslie also appears in the new promo, seemingly in different states of crisis and undress. This apparently shows how the "Good Fight" creators and showrunners of the show plan to take advantage of the lack of restrictions now that the series has found its new home on CBS All Access.

"The Good Fight" is set to premiere on February 19 on CBS. The succeeding episodes will then be streamed solely on CBS All Access.
