'The Elder Scrolls 6' Release Date, News: Bethesda Softworks Not To Release Title Soon?

New details on the release date of Bethesda Softworks' "The Elder Scrolls 6" have surfaced and it looks like the title is not set to be released soon.

Bethesda have reportedly opted to develop the title "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" over "The Elder Scrolls 6," What Culture has learned. It is further revealed that the developer's action is influenced by the solid sales of Bethesda's "Fallout 4," which was released recently and got several console mods that boosted its fan appeal.

According to Vine Report, Bethesda's move reflects company Public Relations Vice President Pete Hine's statement in 2015. In his interview with The Telegraph, Hines said that it was rare to have franchises like the ones they had and to have people joking about when the release of "Skyrim 2" was, pointing out that they are more inclined on substance over number.

Hines also mentioned that the reason people said that was because generally speaking, that was what one would be getting with another publisher in charge. He added that they would be spitting out a "Skyrim 2" the year after or two years later. For Hines, they were not the sort of publisher that focused on "what's our titles for 2015."

"We do smaller stuff, we don't publish to scale, we try to publish to quality," he said.

Aside from "The Elder Scrolls 6," other titles expected from Bethesda at the E3 2016 include "The Evil Within 2," "Wolfenstein 2," and "Prey 2," as per Gaming Bolt.

Overall, Bethesda is yet to reveal details on the release date of "The Elder Scrolls 6."
