'The Blacklist' Season 2 Spoilers: Tom, Liz Romance Rekindled? Jon Bokenkamp Offers Teasers

The Blacklist Season 1 took viewers through the fading romance between Tom and Liz, this next installment, Season 2, is set to focus on a different story line. Executive producer Jon Bokenkamp centers the next set of episodes on Reddington's special mission.

In an interview with TV Guide, The Blacklist producers revealed that Berlin is not only on Red's agenda. Fans should be looking out for complications in the relationship between Raymond Reddington and Elizabeth Keen. Additionally, Ryan Eggold told BuzzSugar that his character and Liz would definitely step through some rough patches in the upcoming episodes.

Actress Megan Boone, who plays Elizabeth, was confident that fans would react in various ways once they realize the status of Red's romantic life, "People have very confusing feelings about the relationship. I think that's interesting. People don't even understand what they feel about Reddington (James Spader) and Elizabeth Keen," Boone stated.

Bokenkamp added, "The cases were connected, but not all of them. Red was using the cases to smoke out Berlin, but in the same way that he's using them to identify Berlin, he may have other agendas. I don't want to give the impression that they're all connected just to that."

At the time of the show's renewal, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert said, "The success of The Blacklist demonstrates that inspired storytelling is alive and well in broadcast television, and I'm impressed on a daily basis by this creative team's imagination and the extent to which they will go to capture this grand vision on film."

The Blacklist Season 2 returns on September 22, 2014 on NBC.
