The Bible Replaced by 'The Book Of Yeezus'? Kanye West Fans Update Holy Book & Make Kanye 'God' [VIDEO]

Kanye West

A "modern day Bible" has hit shelves titled 'The Book of Yeezus', and is a blasphemous interpretation of the Bible that replaces every mention of God with the name of hip-hop star Kanye West.

West is regularly criticized for his enormous ego and controversial rants but is still very popular. The rapper's need to change his name to Yeezus for his last album encouraged a whole other type of following. A group of fans created a version of the Holy Bible that replaces God with Kanye West.

In the past West has said he was a God and even has songs claim so but still maintains that he is a Christian. 'The Book of Yeezus' is being sold on Esty.com and its goal is to take "the most singularly significant publication in the ancient canon of Western tradition," the Bible, and modernize it by making Kanye the focal point.

"Such past icons have been the likes of Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, or Michael Jackson. For this generation, Generation Y, Kanye West is not only its greatest spectacle, but in some senses, a spiritual figure," the book's description reads.

"We are here to spread a doctrine. Well, a pseudo-doctrine. We ask you to use your pulpit for Good," the fans encourage the Kanye followers.

The coffee-table book retails for $20 online and is making mainstream news. It is bound in a black, hard-cover gold-leaf imprinted book.

The makers explain that the book of Genesis, is modified to feature "Kanye" or "Yeezus" in the place of God or Y---A. For example, "In the beginning Kanye created the heaven and the earth... And Kanye said, Let there be light: and there was light."

West has offered no comments on the book or even a religion that was started worshipping 'Yeezus', called 'Yeezianity'. Although the Chicago native is now being worshipped on his latest tour "Yeezus" West brought out a mock Jesus Christ in whom he has a heartfelt exchange with. Christ is seen ascending to the top of the mountain as West bows in supplication before Him.

The creators of 'The Book of Yeezus' have seemingly ignored that though and believe, Kanye is who should be worshipped. "Kanye's awesome and orchestrated spectacle is truly a religious experience," the site says, "In a foreword, we explore our consumerist, quick-fix, and information-culture, and celebrate Kanye and the outsized significance he plays in our lives."
