'The Americans' Season 4 Finale Spoilers: Philip and Elizabeth Set To Engage In A Race With The FBI?

Based on the official trailer and spoilers for the episode, it looks as if fans of the series will be left with a major cliffhanger in "The Americans" season 4 finale.

In the final episode of the series, Russian spies and fake couple Philip and Elizabeth will engage in a race with the FBI as they try to recover a dangerous package.

Titled "Personal Non Grata," the episode offers an explosive finale for the season. The official trailer for the episode shows the FBI cornering William and bringing him to their custody for interrogation.

The KGB officer handling Philip and Elizabeth will also visit them to remind them that their lives are always in peril because of the nature of their jobs, and that their jobs are not meant to last forever.

Meanwhile, the FX network recently confirmed that the series will be renewed for two more seasons. Expected to air in 2017, season 5 will have 13 episodes. Season 6 will air in 2018 and will have 10 episodes.

"It's hard to believe that we're heading into the final stretch on 'The Americans' and we're so grateful to know we'll be telling the story to its conclusion," said co-showrunners Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg in a statement released by the network.

The showrunners added that the best part of the last four seasons was the beautiful collaboration of all the people behind the show, including the cast, crew, writers and the production team.

The final episode of "The Americans" season 4 airs on June 8, 10:00 P.M. on FX.
