The Almond Tree Documentary Tells Incredible Journey of a Nearly Aborted Child Being Adopted by a Loving Christian Family (VIDEO)

There is a new documentary film that shadows the lives of a new Christian couple that exemplifies perseverance and faith.

In The Almond Tree, the film documents the true story of Danny and Leslie Engle, high school sweethearts who attended the same adolescent church service prior to getting married.

After getting married, the Engels would soon realize that both spouses were unable to have any children.

"There were times in our marriage when we both wanted to give up," said Danny in the movie promo. "We both said it's not working. The pain, the money, the difficulties. We can't even complete a family."

Then their church pastor Lamar Ferrell revealed to Danny Engle that an incarcerated lady is willing to give up her kid to a Christian family.

Danny Engel was listening to a radio station and heard an adoption promo and it reminded him about the Biblical story of the prophet Jeremiah.

"The word of the LORD came to me saying, 'What do you see, Jeremiah?' And I said, 'I see a rod of an almond tree.' Then the LORD said to me, 'You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it,' it reads in Jeremiah 1:12-13.

The Bible verse was very prophetic to the Engels, who then named their adopted son Jeremiah. In addition, Jeremiah was born on 1/12 (January 12) just like the Bible verse.

The Engels also learned that Jeremiah was originally planned to be terminated.

God revealed to both Danny and Leslie Engel that this was his divine blueprint all along for their lives that he is all knowing and all powerful.
