Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Kacey Musgraves & Miranda Lambert Lead CMA Nominations 2013

 

Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves topped the Country Music Association Awards nominee list with 6 nominations a piece it was announced today. Swift has now been nominated for 21 CMA awards while this is the first year that Musgraves has ever been nominated. 

Blake Shelton, reigning Entertainer of the year and his wife Miranda are both up for 5 nominations. Lambert is up for 3 solo awards and 2 with her group Pistol Annies.

The nominations were made public on "Good Morning America" this morning and then again by Sheryl Crow and Florida Georgia Line in a news conference.

'Entertainer of the Year' nominees are Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and George Strait. 

Keith Urban and Florida Georgia Line were nominated for 4 CMA awards a piece. 

Tim McGraw's hit song "Highway Don't Care" helped increase Keith Urban and Taylor Swift's nominations by adding 3 to their list. 

'Album of the Year' nominations this year went to Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away", Blake Shelton's "Based on a True Story", Little Big Town's "Tornado", Taylor Swift's "Red" and Kacey Musgrave's "Same Trailer".
