Super Smash Bros 4 Rumors: Release Date of Amiibo Bundles for Wii U Will Be Coming Soon?

Latest rumors indicate that Nintendo may release the 'Super Smash Bros' for Wii U in the form of a bundled package. In addition, the recently announced Amiibo devices may also be incorporated into the bundle.

During a conversation with My Nintendo News, a GameStop store manager has disclosed that 'Super Smash Bros' for the Wii U may come as a collection package, which may also include the Amiibo units. However, the store manager wanted to remain anonymous and did not wish to go on record.

The report read, "A GameStop manager has been in contact to say that he's heard rumblings in the office that that every copy of Smash Bros for Wii U will come with a free Amiibo figure. He also says that he has been hearing that the street date for the Wii U version will be November 21st. He wishes to remain anonymous, so I can't verify these claims."

However, extreme claims have been making rounds in the gaming industry. For instance, some believe Nintendo is abandoning the Wii U and its game development for a new console all together, all this, only a year after the Wii U's launch.

On the other hand, the bundle pack for 'Super Smash Bro's may signify that Nintendo is sticking to their Wii U. Not only is SSB one of the more anticipated Nintendo titles set to launch this holiday season, but it's one of the biggest titles to hit any home console this year.

Nintendo promoted 'Super Smash Bros' quite heavily in last year's E3. The Japanese game developer publicized major things by providing plenty of information during the Smash invitational tournament, which witnessed the return of Ken, one of the most legendary and most notorious tournament players of Super Smash Bros.

The company also unveiled the latest features for the Wii U at E3, such as near-field communication through toy devices called Amiibo.
