'Stranger Things' Season 2 Release Date, News: Upcoming Installment To Feature Sadie Sink And Dacre Montgomery As Siblings Max And Billie

"Stranger Things" season 2 promises to bring more drama, fantasy and horror to fans.

In its debut season, the series showed how the disappearance of a young boy left his mother and friends struggling against terrifying forces. In the upcoming season, the adventure continues.

The upcoming installment will feature two new characters, siblings Max and Billie, played by Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery.

The series director previously revealed his plan to change the titles of the episodes in such a way that they will not reveal too much about the episodes. However, he confirmed that the title of the first episode is "Madmax."

According to reports, the premiere episode of the upcoming series will revolve around the story of a strong and confident girl whose appearance, plans and behavior are so typical of a boy. She is described as someone with a complicated history, and who is suspicious of everything and everyone around her.

Season 2 will pick up 12 months after the events in the season 1 finale. The Duffer brothers will explain the time jump when the series returns, but they said the viewers need to piece together some of the puzzle pieces by themselves.

Meanwhile, the creators of the series confirmed that Eleven, played by Millie Bobbie Brown, will return in season 2. While Netflix refused to confirm which particular episode will feature her character, there are speculations that she will be back in episode 7 titled "The Secret Cabin."

"Stranger Things" season 2 premieres in July 2017 on Netflix.
