'Stranger Things' Season 2 Cast: Upcoming Season Production Photos Leaked Online

It has not been long since Netflix confirmed that "Stranger Things" will be back for another season, but latest updates about the series claim that season 2 is already in production.

Several photos of the season 2 production have been making the rounds online, indicating that production is well on its way. Shared by Reddit user hollygorock, the photos show the filming location of the upcoming series, specifically the Hawkins Lab building, which is now filled with filming equipment.

Season 2 of the series will pick up where the events in the season 1 finale left off. Original cast members will reprise their roles in the series, including Finn Wolfhard's Mike, Winona Ryder's Joyce and Gaten Matarazzo's Dustin. The kids in season 1 will also reportedly return for season 2.

Meanwhile, Millie Bobby Brown's Eleven has not yet been confirmed to return for season 2.

According to show creators Matt and Ross Duffer, the initial plan for season 2 was to have a time jump, where the kids will be older and the setting is in a different era. However, the plan was scrapped since they still have a lot of stories to tell in the 1980's.

There are speculations that Barbara's fate will be tackled in the new season.

Recently, the show creators revealed the titles of the nine episodes of season 2, confirming that the script has already been written. While the story of the upcoming season remains unknown, the creators of the show revealed that the story will remain faithful to the events in "Upside Down."

"Stranger Things" season 2 premieres sometime in 2017 on Netflix.
