'StarCraft 2' Survey News & Update: Is Blizzard Entertainment Considering Selling Announcer Packs?

In line with Blizzard Entertainment's "StarCraft 2," the studio is reportedly eyeing the possibility of selling new downloadable content packs for the game.

According to Reddit user starcraftsurvey, Blizzard Entertainment released a survey, which asked its participants how likely they would to be to buy voice packs, unit skins, and emojis. The Redditor reported that the studio showed a Deluxe Stalker and carbot emojis, along an Alarak voice pack.

The user also mentioned that the developer had suggested price points, such as unit skins for $3.99, ten emoticons for $2.49, and voice packs for $3.99.

In terms of voice packs, the survey, which was captured via an Imgur screenshot, shows a list of potential announcers of "StarCraft 2." The photo sees Alarak, Morgan Freeman, Raynor, Swann, Gordon Hayward, Day9, Snoop Dogg, David Harbour, David Kim, Dustin Browder, Artosis, Thrall, Murky, and hearthstone Innkeeper.

Being a survey, those surveyed were to select between the various options, which included, "Not at all interested," "Somewhat interested," "Very Interested," and "Don't know this name."

According to Eurogamer, "Dota 2" has sold announcer packs for some time and players can obtain everything, such as Glados from "Portal" and Codsworth from "Fallout 4." As per the publication, it is the first time people have heard of a parallel strategy with "StarCraft 2" and it indicates that if the game includes them, the announcer packs will be priced at $3.99.

Released in July 2010, "Star Craft 2" is playable on Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.
