Star Trek 3 Release Date News: Likely 2016 Premiere Date, Paramount Confirms

News about the upcoming addition came to life when it was revealed that J.J. Abrams will be directing the third movie, but things have become complicated when the director was also committed to work on the seventh installment of the 'Star Wars' film series. Fans of the movie are already eager to see the latest installment yet there seems to be a problem with the progress of its production. Several rumors were already saying that the concepts for the film are still vague, though Roberto Orci is now projected to be the newest director.

The latest news about the film has just confirmed that the third installment will be soon released though the exact date is not yet certain. According to the report made by Inquisitr, Paramount Pictures has just confirmed that they will be soon setting up production for the sci-fi movie. Paramount Pictures International SVP, EMEA Edward Ryan has estimated that the third installment will hit the big screens sometime in 2016.

Star Trek 3's rumored release date also comes along with the 50th anniversary of the Star Trek franchise, which is actually just coincidence. Aside from the film's upcoming production there was also gossip claiming that another TV series related to the sci-fi film will soon be airing through Netflix; however, author Larry Nemecek has confirmed that there is no such thing.
