Christian rock band Spoken successfully completed their Kickstarter campaign by reaching $25,888 in funds of their intended $20,000. There was even a flex goal set up if the band raised $35,000.

"The Kickstarter has been fully funded at $25,888!!! Thank you so much for your love and support, we couldn't have done this without you!" the band wrote on Facebook. "Disclaimer: Kickstarter will now start charging your cards for your selected bundle, so make sure you've budgeted appropriately so you can receive your perk! If your card does not clear, you do not receive your package. We love you guys!"

The band sought out to raise money to record their new album and will be begin the work on the unnamed album on April 5.

"So we've settled on a STRETCH GOAL for our Kickstarter campaign! If we hit $35K we will not only record 2 additional songs to be released on the album, but we will also shoot another music video!" they wrote on Facebook. It is now unclear on where the extra $5,000 will go. "If you've already pre-ordered the new album, that's great! Please share our kickstarter with as many people as you can! For those who have yet to pick their package, now is your time! Although we've hit our minimum goal, every penny gives us more time in the studio and ultimately more material for you!"

Some of the higher priced perked packages that were still remaining were the Production Plus Package, which lets band's get a 5 song EP created with Spoken for $2,000, a personal Spoken rock show in your own garage for $1,200, and the $500 single song production package for bands.

"2015 is a new year full of new life for Spoken, starting the new year with a clean slate, free from our management, booking and label relationships that did a great job helping us get this far," they wrote on Kickstarter. We are now 100% independent and couldn't be happier with where we are at. God willing, this puts us fully in the drivers seat to write the music we want to write, be the band we want to be and do the things we want to do."

BREATHEcast interviewed lead singer Matt Baird about the new upcoming record back in December. At that point it was just taking shape with a couple of ideas. Read the full interview here.

"We started writing right now. There's a solid eleven ideas. Some of the songs have music already," Baird revealed. He said he has been tied up in other places at the moment, and so far there is a couple of scratch vocals. "We don't want to do another Illusion, we don't want to do another self-titled, we don't want to do another Echoes, we need to do something that continues to make this band grow as Christians, as songwriters. It's something that a lot of bands that have inspired us over the years, and feedback from people. It's not going to be the same record as we've done before."
