Spain will battle Netherlands on Friday at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador, Brazil as both teams get their World Cup 2014 campaigns underway.

The game starts at 3:00 p.m. ET and can be viewed online through free live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).

This surely has to be one of the biggest games in the first round of matches. Both of these teams will have ambitions to get to the Final on July 13, and this will be a massive test for both teams to kick start their campaigns.

Spain come into this tournament as the reigning champions and as one of the favorites. However, if they are to win the World Cup again this year, they will have to make history to become the first European team to win the World Cup in South America.

The Netherlands have never won the World Cup before and are pushing for their first win. But deep down they will know that they are up against it, with teams like Spain, Brazil, Argentina and Germany ahead of them as favorites.

On Thursday the World Cup got started with hosts Brazil playing Croatia. Although the European team played well and were hoping for an upset they were undone by young Brazilian star Neymar, who scored two goals. The second of those goals was from a controversial penalty, which many fans and pundits believed was a soft one and that the referee shouldn't have given. However, the goal stood to give Brazil a 2-1 lead, and the hosts scored a third in injury time to cap off a 3-1 win and a perfect start for the host nation.

The game will begin at 3 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN network or online through live stream by clicking here.
