‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 7 Release Date, Plot Spoilers: Gemma Offers Preview, Jax Teller Imprisonment Creates Allies

Sons of Anarchy's seventh season will be back on primetime this September with more gripping scenes, especially since Jax Teller lost his wife during Season 6. Additionally, it seems that Gemma Teller's dark secret about the murder of Tara Knowles remains undiscovered.

Gemma Teller Morrow, played by Katey Sagal, is undeniably the most coveted character on the outlaw motorcycle club show. In a photo shared on Twitter, 60-year-old Sagal was shown standing next to what appears to be a sheriff. If rumors are true, then her son Jax will be spending some time in prison.

"Who's counting down to #SOAfx? Here's your first look at season 7 Gemma. #Samcro," Sagal captioned on Twitter. Maggie Siff, who played Tara, agreed that Katey is indeed one of the strongest characters on the show. Many fans are wondering what will be in store for the future of SAMCRO and the town of Charming, now that she is off the series and her on-screen husband will be put behind bars.

"[Showrunner] Kurt [Sutter] and I had talked about what was happening, and he sort of told me some ideas he had about what this season would look like," Siff told Entertainment Weekly. "But I don't want to read scripts. I want to see it with everybody else. I'm excited. It's going to be weird and kind of great to just watch it on television," she added.

According to Just Jared, Jax's imprisonment will bring him close to his allies with Ron Tally's group, a white supremacist prison leader. More violence and revenge-inspired scenes are expected to come out of Sons of Anarchy Season 7.
