Snoop Dogg Changes His Name AGAIN, Plans on Dropping a Funk Album With Dam-Funk [MORE DETAILS INSIDE]

Rapper Snoop Dogg is going through an extreme identity crisis. We all know Snoop changed his name previously to Snoop Lion after embracing the Rastafarian culture and lifestyle.

Today the Long Beach rapper has changed his name again! Snoop plans on dropping a "funk album" with Dam-Funk, which led him to change his name to ..... "Snoop Zilla."

The collab album is called 7 Days of Funk and will be released December 10 through Stones Throw Records.

Snoop addressed the new album during a press conference saying,

"We're the babies of the Mothership. I've had funk influences in my music my whole career. Dam-Funk is cold. He's keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him."

Apparently the Snoop and Dam-Funk have been working towards this album for a couple of years and "Snoop Zilla" is a name that pays homage to the legendary Bootsy "Bootzilla" Collins. Dam-Funk added to snoops statement saying,

"Snoop knew what I was thinking without me having to articulate it. That's how you know when you gel artistically with someone. These beats were made for him and he laid down some of the smoothest harmonies and melodies I've ever heard. It's hip-hop, but you can also hear what we grew up on, from Zapp to Evelyn 'Champagne' King and Patrice Rushen."
