'Sleep Hollow' will start its second season on Monday, September 22 at 9 pm on Fox.

According to TVLine, Mark Goffman, the executive producer, disclosed that the fans would be getting a shocking premiere episode, "I don't think anyone's going to see it coming."

During San Diego Comic-Con 2014, Nicole Beharie said that after Ichabod Crane betrayed Abbie in the Season 1 finale, the couple might not be on the best of terms. Mark Goffman, revealed that there will be a moment between Ichabod and Abbie in a purgatory scene where they might kiss. If this actually happens when the episode 2, what else does Goffman have up his sleeves in terms of Season 2 surprises.

Beharie said, "It's just not Abbie's thing...I think what's cool about the way they've created the torture for both of us is that they're really personal. One is history, Abbie and Jenny as children, and the other one is like a replaying of the entire show where he is in the box initially. So they find themselves starting over in a really odd way. I don't think they're enjoying it. But the cool thing is you'll see different sides of them, trying to figure their way out of it. I think that's safe to say."

According to Spoiler TV, in the first episode of Season 2, the status quo will be restored. Crane is going to escape from being buried alive by his son, Jeremy. Also, Abbie is going to escape from Purgatory.

Ichabod is speculated to just pass his time away in the locked box during the premiere. Is it possible that he will help Abbie in her escape from Purgatory?
