During a recent meeting for the Socialist party in Venezuela, Hugo Chavez was remembered in a blasphemous new rendition of the "Lord's Prayer/Our Father" substituting God with Chavez.

At the closing of the Socialist party workshop in Caracas, the large group beseeched Chavez, who is dead, to lead the country away from the temptations of Capitalism.

"Our Chavez who art in heaven, in the earth, in the sea and in us," a representatives in a red T-shirt emotionally recited on Monday in front of President Nicolas Maduro, who was hand-picked by Chavez.

"Hallowed be your name, may your legacy come to us so we can spread it to people here and elsewhere. Give us your light to guide us every day," the woman, Maria Estrella Uribe said. "Lead us not into the temptation of capitalism, deliver us from the evil of the oligarchy, like the crime of contraband, because ours is the homeland, the peace and life forever and ever. Amen."

An image of Chavez was in display at the workshop as the woman prayed her prayer and everyone attentively listened. Uribe ended the chilling supplication with the shout, "Viva Chavez!" as everyone applauded.

Since Chavez lost the battle with cancer in March 2013, Venezuela's Bolivarian Revolution has become even more cult-like. Chavez' image and words are all over Caracas, displayed on walls and billboards. The revolutionaries are called Chavistas and they reportedly pay tribute to his memory on an almost daily basis.

According to Vice News, President Maduro believes he is Chavez' representative here on Earth and he claims that he regularly converses with Chavez admitting that he often sleeps in his grave.
