'Sherlock' Season 4 Release Date, Spoilers: TV Series Going To Start Filming in Morocco Soon?

Fans of "Sherlock" season 4 finally have some real good reason to make whoopee.

While details of the report remain very few and far between, creators of the series recently confirmed that the production of season 4 of the hit series will start filming very soon in Morocco. Everything else about the production remains buttoned up, but this piece of good news is enough to elate fans who have been waiting for some concrete news about "Sherlock's" next installment.

It was earlier reported that the first episode of the series was already completed and that filming in Cardiff, Wales started to make progress in April. According to reports, the second episode is currently in full swing while the scenes to be shot in Morocco will be part of either the third or the fourth episode.

Aside from the filming in Morocco, another exciting news revealed by series co-creator Steven Moffat was that Toby Jones will join the cast of season 4 as a villain. While it has yet to be revealed which mysterious villain he will be, fans of the series are already excited to see his character play the role of an antagonist.

"Delighted to have Toby Jones on board, bringing to life one of Doyle's finest villains," said Moffat about Jones.

Meanwhile, it is rumored that actor Tom Hiddleston will join the cast of season 4 as Sherrinford Homes, Sherlock's brother. Talks about his entry into the series began after series creator Mark Gatiss said in a previous interview that he would love to take Hiddleston on board.

"Sherlock" season 4 premieres in January 2017 on BBC.
