'Scare PewDiePie' Episode 1 Recap, Spoilers: Pilot Not Scary Enough, Episode 2 Set To Reveal Improvements?

The pilot episode of "Scare PewDiePie" has been released online and it is reportedly "horrible."

Episode one clocked in at 21 minutes, according to Variety. The publication writes that, while "Scare PewDiePie" features similar volume of content as some 30-minute series, the show's first episode had "almost nothing." The pilot episode saw PewDiePie promise his "BroArmy: that they were about to watch him get the absolute "s**y" scared out of him.

The first episode also saw PewDiePie cuss and scream a lot, as he faces different situations inspired by video games. However, a notable flaw of the series is it lack of scare factor, as it did not look as horrifying as the mazes at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights.

While there were scary side effects and camera tricks, in addition to a creative twist resembling the one in "The Walking Dead," the pilot episode seems to fail to scare the audience.

According to Forbes, "PewDiePie" fans might enjoy the first episode while those who have not heard about the YouTube celebrity might find it average or less than average. The publication says the crew has to do better than the first episode, not to mention the mixed feelings on the social media.

"Scare PewDiePie" is a reality web series crafted for YouTube's recently launched subscription service YouTube Red. The web series follows PewDiePie as he encounters horrible events and explore sets which designs are based on horror video games that PewDiePie plays and commentates on his YouTube channel.

Produced by Maker Studios and Skybound Entertainment, "Scare PewDiePie" has ten episodes, which are executively produced by Robert Kirkman and shot in Los Angeles, California, in October, 2015.

Along with "Scare PewDiePie," other originals set to be launched by YouTube Red include AwesomenessTV's "Dance Camp," Rooster Teeth and Fullscreen Films' "Lazer Team," and Astronauts Wanted's "A Trip to Unicorn Island."

"Scare PewDiePie" episode 2 is on the way, but its plot is yet to be revealed and is hoped to be better than the first. "Scare PewDiePie" episode 1 aired on Feb. 10 while episode 2 airs on Feb. 17.
