Olivia Pope and her associates secured a new client, Mary Nesbitt, but she turns out to be distraught mother who is out for revenge.

 Mary straps a bomb to her chest and holds a room full of people hostage in the White House, including Olivia, who was accused of being a terrorist.

Mary's son had been murdered by FBI agents after they suspected he was a terrorist, but he was actually innocent.

No one would give Mary the chance to prove her case so she took matters into her own hands and the lives of others.

David finally reveals the truth about Mary's son. He wasn't a terrorist, in fact he was a CIA agent who infiltrated Al-Qaeda and brought other agents in as fake recruits.

 Mary's son couldn't expose the truth because if the world knew what he was really up to the 57 American recruits that be brought over would be killed, but instead he decided saving 57 lives is better than saving his own.

To make matters worse, Olivia was the one who forced the idea that he was a terrorist onto his own mother.

Huck spent his spent his day hunting down Olivia's dad like a mad man with his gun in his hand. He finally caught up with Rowan, but he quickly took the heat off of his ass by suggesting Huck kill Tom. Huck reported back to Olivia and told her the whole story while crying into her arms.
