Reports are claiming that 'Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Complete Season' has been pegged with a release date. The upcoming installment to the legendary horror survival franchise launches February 17, 2015.

According to Sony's PlayStation Store the new addon version of the game features chilling gameplay and bonus content.

The digital version of the full game, which has four episodes including an undisclosed bonus feature and a Raid Mode is priced at $24.99, while individual episodes are priced at $5.99.

Moreover, 'Resident Evil Revelations 2' game developer Capcom announced at the recent New York Comic Con that pre-orders of the game will come with a "Throwback Stage Pack," which is already available on PS3 and PS4.

The "Throwback Stage Pack" will allow gamers to view some classic moments from the franchise's previous titles such as 'Resident Evil' via Raid Mode.

Raid Mode was first seen in the original 'Revelations' games, it is an added shooter-based mode that players can use to blast their way through several different stages.

Polygon reports that Capcom is planning to launch 'Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Complete Season' as an "episodic experience," releasing one episode a week, with each episode reportedly having 2 hours of gameplay.

Capcom will then offer a disc release of the Complete Season Pack with the bonus content for $40, on a date that has not yet been announced.

A cinematic trailer of 'Resident Evil Revelations 2' was released recently to allow fans eager about the complete season.

Jill Scharr, a contributor to Toms Guide also reviewed the game and stated that the game's developers aim to bring back the horror in 'Revelations 2'.

Scharr added that the game has a sense of eeriness to it with the "narrow corridors and dark, filthy-looking environments."

The new version will feature Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, and similar to the first 'Resident Evil Revelations', players will be about switch between the two characters in the game.

'Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Complete Season' is set to release on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.
