Remedy Drive Frontman & The Nelons' Jason Clark Recap Highlights of 2014; Groups Share New Year's Resolution [INTERVIEW 4]

Remedy Drive

BREATHEcast sent out three questions to various Christian musicians in the industry to get their thoughts on closing out 2014, starting 2015, and how their fans can pray for them. In part four of this installment, David Zach of Remedy Drive and Jason Clark of the Nelons chimed in.

DAVID ZACH - REMEDY DRIVE

What was the highlight moment of your music in 2014?
We were playing songs from our new album Commodity at Lifelight Festival in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and it started raining as we were doing our song "Take Cover." The sirens started going off and it became a torrential downpour. But we stayed on stage and played Commodity for the brave people who stood through the storm with us. I went out in the crowd and was drenched but there was an energy I've never experienced before. It was awesome.

What is your New Year's resolution for 2015?
I did not make one. We're going to be eating better in our household though.

What is something you wish to do better in the new year, and how can your fans pray for you?
I want to be more consistent with a lot of things. Johnny Cash reads the Gospels to me often while I'm driving. I want to be more consistent with reading. My kids are so curious about so many things. They have so many questions about the history of humanity, the Creator and what the coming Kingdom is going to be about. I think the most fulfilling thing for me during 2014 was talking to them about these things. I want to make more time to talk to them about what is most important in 2015.

What was the highlight moment of your music in 2014?
Of all the concerts The Nelons performed in various churches and auditoriums this past year, along with special appearances we made along the way, our musical highlight was standing by the bedside of our Aunt Sue singing her home, as she went on to be with Jesus.

What is your New Year's resolution for 2015?
We would like the opportunity to use our life & career experiences to mentor young aspiring singers and musicians.

What is something you wish to do better in the new year, and how can your fans pray for you?
We've been praying for our ministry to have more of a global impact by using the platform God has given us to bring awareness to serious needs around the world.
