RED Explains 'Of Beauty and Rage'; Encourage Christians to Engage the 'Darkest Part' of Themselves - BC PULSE [VIDEO INTERVIEW]

Red

Christian hard rock band RED stopped by the BREATHEcast studio to talk about their new album Of Beauty and Rage, and took some time to explain how they battle their own demons with music.

When asked how they can defeat darkness and evil, guitarist Anthony Armstrong said, "The hope is that we can continue to fight off those demons, it's a vicious cycle that never stops." The band hopes to use music to engage those evils and defeat them.

The message of the music is key to RED's work as a band. They want people to experience God through the "Darkest part" of life.

"We are broken and we need a Savior...The God that created the universe wants to have a relationship with me. That's amazing," said the lead singer Matt Barnes.

"That's our nature...we will somehow find a way to screw up" said Armstrong when asked about trying to avoid evil and temptation. However, the consensus of the band was that surrounding yourself with strong fellow believers is one of the best ways to stay grounded in the Lord.

The band then went on to talk about potentially incorporating a graphic novel concept into their live performance and next project. For that, and the rest of the interview, watch our latest episode of BC Pulse below:
