'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date News, Update: Upcoming Game To Be Released This Year? New Map Leaks Removed

In line with Rockstar Games' "Red Dead Redemption 2," it is revealed that the upcoming video game installment is set to be released this year. Also, new map leaks have surfaced online.

According to PC Advisor, "Red Dead Redempiion 2" has a high chance to hit gaming stores in 2016, mainly due to Rockstar Games' continuous provision of game updates few at a time. As per the publication, this constant "trend" of the studio's released suggests that fans and gamers should not worry that the game could be cancelled.

As per Christian Daily, a 2016 release for "Red Dead Redemption 2" is also possible, as it means a six year interval following the release of "Red Dead Redemption" in 2010. According to the publication, six years is the same interval between the release of the latter and "Red Dead Revolver" in 2004.

In other news, a leaked photo from the "Red Dead Redemption 2" has surfaced and spotted on NeoGAF, PC Advisor has learned. According to the publication, the said photo seemed to be a large map for the game. After being seen by other people, the leaked photo has been reportedly removed by the original poster. Rockstar Games had no comment on the issue.

In a statement at the panel in the Cowen Company and Analyst conference in 2014, "Red Dead Redemption" developer and CEO Strauss Zelnick teased that it seemed quite overt that "Red Dead" was a permanent franchise, adding that the risk of just release more games was that a person ended up just bulking his release schedule and that was not consumers really wanted.

As per Zelnick, consumers wanted better, and not more.

Overall, it is assumed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is set to be released this 2016.
