In line with Rockstar's "Red Dead Redemption 2," it has been revealed that the game is set to be unveiled this year.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is set to be announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, Frag Hero reported. As per the publication, fans assume that the game would be released in 2017 should Rockstar unveil the game at the said event.

Reports revealed that a previous employee of Rockstar Games was responsible for the information leak, revealing that the company had been working on "Red Dead Redemption 2." It has been added that the aforementioned game installment would be entitled "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends Of The West."

As per The Christian Times, "Red Dead Redemption 2" is also set to utilize larger maps, such as the North American landscapes and the Mexican deserts, along with urban locales and railway lines. Thus, it is assumed that gamers will have greater time to explore the game and have a more engaging gaming experience.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" was also indirectly teased by previous Rockstar Games developer Ruben Tavares on his LinkedIn profile, Game Ranx reported. As a senior 3D artist at the "Grand Theft Auto" studio since 2006, Tavares indicated that he had worked on "Grand Theft Auto V," "Midnight Club: Los Angeles," and "Red Dead Redemption 2."

Developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games, "Red Dead Redemption" is an open world, western action-adventure video game. It is set in year 1911 during the fall of the American Frontier and it follows former outlaw John Marston, whose wife and son are abducted by the government in exchange for his services as a hired gunner. Leaving him with no choice, Marston embarks on a mission to bring the three members of his previous group to justice.

"Red Dead Redemption" can be played on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
