PS4 Neo Release Date, News: Expected To Be Unveiled In September?

The E3 came and went, but the PS4 didn't make an appearance. Now, fans are eagerly anticipating the release date for the PS4 Neo which is expected to be around September.

The big question now is whether or not it's worth the wait?

The single reason for waiting for the release date of the PS4 Neo is that it's geared towards the Playstation VR, which is reportedly going to be available in the second week of October, in addition to the full 4K yield with prime graphical interface.

However, there's not much that can be gleaned from all the rumors on the specs of the PS4 Neo, including the price point.

"It'll cost more than the current machine costs, but House is being tight-lipped on pricing at this moment in time," said PC Advisor.

During the E3, Sony didn't touched on the PS4 like what everybody expected.

Jim Ryan, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe CEO, also talked a bit about the price of the PS4 Neo in an interview with the UK's Telegraph.

"We've said that the product currently codenamed as Neo will be priced at a premium to the standard model PS4," he said. "We're still studying and that will determine some of the promotional mechanics that will get used."

He also said that there's going to be some significant upgrades in terms of the tech, and that's because smartphones just skewed the level of expectations that some fans have whenever a new device is announced.

However, he didn't touch on the release date for the PS4 Neo. In the coming weeks, however, there should be more news on this regard.
