'Pokken Tournament' News: Bandai Leaks New Toy Figures; ‘Pokken’ Move Unliked By ‘Tekken’ Players?

In line with Bandai's "Pokken Tournament," the studio has revealed new toy figures, including Mewtwo and Lucario. In addition, "Tekken 7" creator Katsuhiro Karada talked about the implications of one of "Pokken's" move on the former title.

Bandai's MegaHouse has released toy figures of Lucario and Mewtwo from "Pokken Tournament," Crunchy Roll has learned. Both figures come as a set, which inclues alternate heads, hands, effect parts, and base. The figures are reportedly 11.5 centimeters tall and are assumed to cost 6,264 yen each.

Along with "Pokken's" Lucario and Mewtwo, Bandai MegaHouse is also set to release Brock, Geodude, Vulpix, Chansey, and Nurse Joy toy figures. The cooking Brock toy figure is seven cm tall while Nurse Joy stands 11 cm. They are bound to be released for the GEM series and each also costs 6,264 yen.

In other news, "Tekken 7" creator Katsuhiro Harada revealed that adding a move from "Pokken Tournament" to the former might not be appealing for most gamers.

In his interview with Siliconera, Harada said that "Pokken" was newer as it featured fresh fighting strategies and moves that had not been commonly seen in other Bandai fighting games. A case in point is a Pokemon being receptive to counter-attacks, which stand as good maneuver to counter the opponent's hits.

According to Harada, the technique might not be liked by players, as it could render old combat strategies useless if players opt to use it in-game.

The "Tekken" franchise is set to release its newest installment, "Tekken 7: Retribution." At the moment, it is assumed that the game is set to see the return of some of the title's notable characters; however, the studio is yet to reveal the details.

"Pokken Tournament" was released on July 16, 2015 while "Tekken 7: Retribution" is set to be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows in early 2017.
