PlayStation Plus Free Games List For September 2014: ‘Velocity 2X’, ‘Sportfriends’

Sony has just revealed the list of free games that will be available in September for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Sony's PlayStation Plus service, a paid-subscription plan similar to Microsoft's Xbox Gold service, offers free game downloads to its subscribers in addition to other benefits.

Exclusive beta access, game demos, automatic game updates and system software updates are among the offers that can be availed by subscribing to PlayStation Plus.

In addition to this, PlayStation Plus subscribers can access free downloadable games for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita every month.

For the month of September, six games for different PlayStation consoles are available for free. Below is a guide about the complimentary titles.

'Velocity 2X': PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita

Developed by FuturLab, this game is a sequel to 'Velocity Ultra'. In this game, players fight against aliens using a teleporting jet.

Unlike the first 'Velocity' game, 'Velocity 2X' allows players to land their spacecraft in order to fight the aliens face-to-face.

'Sportsfriends': PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3

This game developed by Die Gute Fabrik pits players in a multiplayer competition, and requires the usage of a PlayStation Move controller. It is comprised of four mini-games that include "Johann Sebastian Joust," "BariBariBall," "Hokra" and "Super Pole Riders."

'Playstation All Stars Battle Royale': PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita

Similar to Nintendo's 'Super Smash Bros.' series, this game allows players engage in a free-for-all fight with friends on various maps.

'HOARD': PlayStation 3

In this game, players take on the role of a dragon that aims to steal the kingdom's riches. 'HOARD' has a multiplayer option that allows players to fight over gold.

'Joe Danger': PlayStation Vita

This game lets players take on the role of Joe Danger, a daredevil motorcycle rider. This side-scrolling racing game features standard platform elements.

'TxK': PlayStation Vita

Players of this game control claw-like spaceships that shoot enemies. This game features a hundred levels, and is praised for its stunning visuals.

For the group of free games this month, 'Velocity 2X' seems to be the MOST popular choice for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
